Built-Up Lint, Built-Up Risk
Laundry extract systems move hot, moisture-laden air through ducts. Over time, they collect lint, fibres and dust, the perfect fuel for a fire. Our cleaning service removes these deposits to help reduce risk, improve airflow and keep your system working as it should.
We clean ducting and extract equipment in commercial laundries, hotels, care homes, hospitals and industrial laundry facilities.

Blocked Ducts and Fire Risks
Lint is one of the most flammable materials you’ll find in a commercial building. If it builds up in your ductwork, it doesn't just reduce ventilation and slow down drying times. It becomes a real fire hazard. Cleaning helps prevent:
Fires caused by heat and lint build-up
System breakdowns or poor drying performance
Increased energy use due to blocked airflow
Failures during inspections or insurance assessments
Odours caused by trapped moisture and residue
Most systems need cleaning every six to twelve months, depending on usage and layout.

Issues We Help Prevent
Regular cleaning keeps the system safe, efficient and compliant. When laundry ductwork is left uncleaned, it can create problems fast. Common issues we’re called in to deal with include:
Blocked duct runs and reduced airflow
Heat build-up causing fan strain or shutdowns
Strong smells and increased humidity in laundry rooms
Fire risks due to dry lint near heat sources
Failed inspections or insurance compliance checks

The Process
We clean the ducting, filters, grilles and fans connected to your laundry extract system. This is done using manual and mechanical tools designed to break down lint build-up and clear the full length of the system.
System Check
We inspect the system layout, access points and existing conditions. We can work with or without access panels depending on your setup.
Debris Removal
We use vacuum systems, air whips and brushes to remove lint and dust from the ductwork and connected parts.
Fan and Terminal Cleaning
We clean extract fans, termination points and external grilles to make sure nothing is restricting flow.
Filter Cleaning or Replacement
We clean or change out filters where accessible, and check for blockages around them.
Report and Photos
We provide a short report with photos showing what was cleaned and the condition of the system. Useful for internal records or proof of service.
